FSC has designed over 100 educational facilities in the circumpolar world, from early learning centres to post secondary environments. We focus on people and site first, soliciting input through participatory design workshops. These sessions map out a project vision, anchoring the creative process and engaging stakeholders through the life of building.
We believe schools should engage our children’s excitement just as they nurture their growth. Learning streets, town squares, neighbourhoods and breakout spaces structure our plans. We engineer permanence, daylight and good air quality. We design flexibility and cross-functional relationships that accommodate and enhance the evolution of place and the natural learning process.
